Podcasting
I did the gabcast thing for my podcasting technology. I still am getting use to gabcast. I cannot figure out how to get it to my blog. I had to download the RSSowl program so I could transfer my entry to it. I could not transfer it though. I do not think Gabcast it the most user friendly site, well at least not for technologically disinclined people. It took me awhile to understand what a podcast even was and what it was for. I still am not quite sure what the point of it is. I am someone who does not rely a lot on websites and technology to get through my day. Computers actually give me headaches. Podcasting will definetly be an experience, and I will have to get use to it a little more. As soon as I figure out how to post my podcast I will. Just give me a little time.

Elizabeth, I rejected gabcast exactly for the reasons you stated. I signed up for an account and found it impossible to use. User friendly it is NOT! I tried 3 times to create a podcast but couldn't get past signing in, so on the bright side, you made it much further than me on gabcast, lol. I'll be anxious to see if and how you're able to post it to your blog.

ReplyDeleteYou’re not the only one to have trouble with Gabcast, I couldn’t figure that site out for the life of me. I agree that it is not user friendly. I consider my self decent with computer and technology and still had no clue what to do on this website. I would suggest trying to use Yodio, it is very user friendly and much easier to navigate.

Elizabeth, I'm sorry you weren't able to get around gabcast very easily! I was able to do mine on Gabcast, but that was mainly because I just spent a lot of time exploring and finally got it but it did take a while! Maybe try Yodio since everyone else seemed to get it so fast! lol But I agree, Gabcast is hard to use!
ReplyDeleteElizabeth - did you finally get one to work? I didn't see another one here. when i used gabcast back in the fall it was pretty straightforward but I know that the applications change very quickly! let me know (via Oncourse) if you upload a new one that works.
